About the Company
Quality tools, fair prices, exceptional service and straight forward honesty have been prime motivations since John J. Burns started his saw shop back in 1934. Over the years, Burns Power Tools has become a major supplier specializing in industrial power tools, heavy-duty machinery, full service sharpening, repairs and related accessories. We have built our business by catering to Contractors, Woodworkers and Industry, and we provide value to these customers that others cannot. Our loyal customers know that if they buy a tool from Burns, they’ll have no worries because the loyalty goes both ways – we’ll take care of it if it breaks down, we’ll provide help and advice on application problems, and we’ll offer pick up and delivery. Many long-lasting mutual friendships have developed as a result of the Burns philosophy.

Product Selection
The tools and supplies that we choose to stock are considered the most efficient on the market according to research and testing done by Burns and the feedback from our customers and associates. In addition to researching which tools best fit our customers’ needs, Burns takes the worry out of price hunting by continually monitoring competitors’ pricing and adjusting ours to beat it. This is what one of our customers recently labeled the ‘Total Package’ approach to power tool marketing – selling, accessorizing, repairing and sharpening, all while providing the best pricing possible.

Sharpening
It takes a high degree of expertise to maintain the quality, finish and long-lasting nature of your specialized blades. At Burns, our Sharpening experts have been providing exceptional cutting edges since 1934. Burns is now the only shop to offer the SuperSharp premium blade Sharpening process that lasts longer, cuts better and saves wear and tear, extending your tool’s total service life. When you consider the equipment investment you’ve already made, ensuring you have the best quality sharpening service has a direct impact on your bottom line. Rely on Burns’ high degree of expertise to maintain the quality, finish and long-lasting nature of your specialized blades.

Burns On-Site
Burns professionals routinely report to you on the job, delivering a brand of service that our regular customers have come to appreciate – and our more recent customers find hard to believe.

Marshall Burns Honored, Inducted Into 'HALL-OF-FAME'

Burns Tools' founder Marshall Burns was inducted into the Tools of the Trade Magazine 'Hall of Fame' in the January/February 2005 issue. The article talks about his beginning the company in 1934 and handing down his 'saw blade secrets' to those that run Burns Tools today. Marshall, now 88 years old, still shows up at work every morning.

Burns Tools was also featured in the November/December 2002 issue of Tools of the Trade magazine as one of the WORLD'S BEST TOOL STORES! Click here to read the entire article.

An excerpt from the article:

"The world has certainly changed since Marshall Burns started his small shop in Fall River, Mass., in 1934.  Burns, the 83-year-old "Saw Man," still shows up every day, but his sons Spike and Jeff are running things now.  Walk through the modest tool showroom to the oiled, aged saw shop in back for a glimpse into the past, where Marshall built a business around his hand-tempered saw blades.

But beyond world-renown blades, Burns and his sons have created a long, rich history of personalized service that has earned undying loyalty from generations of customers and set standards modern stores strive for.  Services new shops boast about, like pro-level tool lines, on-site tool demonstrations, on-site repairs, loaner tools, custom grinding, full range sharpening, jobsite pick-ups and deliveries, and even machine repairs in customers' shops, started a long time ago in small tool shops like Burns Power Tools."
